BtB offers the a wide array of perspectives, viewpoints and teachings about sexuality, intimacy, and relationship. We promote education to help singles and couples learn lifelong skills to empower their current and future relationships. BtB provides fact-based education on subjects that are considered taboo and are difficult for most people to talk about. Our education is designed to assist our audience in making the most informed decisions in their intimate, private matters. We offer our audience comprehensive and compassionate sexual education that addressed human development, the complexity of relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexuality through the lifespan, sexual health, society and culture.

Who are the BtB facilitators and teachers?

In addition to the teachings offered by the founders of BtB, Dan Powers and Elizabeth Wood, BtB partners with other leading experts, sex educators, therapists and practitioners to share their diverse knowledge with our inquisitive audience. It is through an expansive community of facilitators that we are able to provide unique and varied perspectives to enlighten and inspire our audience.

What can I expect from attending a BtB event?

It is BtB’s mission to provide a wide audience a comprehensive and compassionate sexual education that addressed human development, the complexity of relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexuality through the lifespan, sexual health, society and culture. We foster a safe environment where individuals and couples can explore their concerns and identify their wants, needs and desires without judgment or shame. Our events provide the opportunity to hear experts teach on subjects related to sex, intimacy and relationship. We hope to broaden your horizons and provide the tools to generate powerful, lasting relationships.

What kind of content and classes do you offer online?

We offer discussions of a wide variety of topics relating to sex, intimacy and relationship brought to you by people comfortable with the conversation of conscious sexuality. In these discussions we will openly discuss issues people face, but may be afraid to talk about. We will also have how-to discussions for people looking to expand their skill levels both on relationships and sexuality. Our discussion format is brought to you as part of our regular Salon called Naked Talk with Beyond the Bedroom.

Our webinars will be more in-depth teachings on the same subject matters. The webinars will offer not only the teachings of the BtB founders, Dan Powers and Elizabeth Wood, but will introduce other educators whose teachings align with the mission of BtB. We will have classes and webinars suited to all levels of learning whether it be the most basic to the more advanced.

How do I know which class is right for me; are there different levels?

Yes, BtB utilizes a ratings system to help our attendees understand whether the class is a basic class or more advanced. Our desire is to ensure everyone has an adequate safety net so they can explore and potentially push their edges, but not break them.

How will the BtB teachings benefit me?

All of the education offered by BtB is provided to encourage a greater understanding of sexuality, intimacy and relationship. We feel the better and more informed we all are, the better, safer, and healthier decisions we are able to make for ourselves and our partners. We work diligently to provide you quality information and education to explore and find answers that will empower you to improve your relationships, ignite your passion, explore what is possible in your sexuality and create healthy relationships. We provide education without bias or judgment in order to foster safety and compassion necessary for growth.

How do you protect the privacy of participants at BtB events?

We never identify BtB participants publicly. Our online conversations and webinars are completely anonymous. We never share the personal information of our audience to anyone outside of our staff at BtB. Each participant makes their own choice whether to remain anonymous at a live event. Introductions are left up to each participant and their particular comfort level.

What about my personal boundaries? Will they be respected? What if I am asked to do something I don’t want to do?

BtB respects and fully honors the personal boundaries of each of our participants. Each individual is responsible, however, for identifying their personal boundaries and sharing them when appropriate. You always have the right to opt out of any experience or exercise. The choice is always yours. Don’t ever do anything you don’t want to do. We support our participants in exploring edges, not exceeding them.

I’ve heard that some of the BtB workshops are clothing optional. Do I have to take my clothes off in order to attend?

There are a small number of workshops that provide a supportive and nurturing environment where participants can explore exercises where clothing may be removed. Removal of clothing is always an option and never a requirement for any individual. Each participant makes his or her own choice in any given moment in accordance to what is right for them.
